Carbon neutrality is one of the global responses to climate change. It’s sometimes not possible to completely eradicate a company’s emissions, however, by neutralising them, damage limitation and some good can be returned to the environment. We do this by sponsoring Gold Standard Foundation projects that counterbalance carbon generation around the world.
The Gold Standard or Gold Standard for the Global Goals is a standard and logo certification mark program for non-governmental emission reduction projects in the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), the Voluntary Carbon Market and other climate and development interventions. The Metro wastewater treatment project captures methane from a starch plant in Thailand and generates clean renewable energy and other social benefits for local communities.

IOT Mabagas Limited power plant, Pudhuchatram converts up to 120,000 tons/year of chicken litter and other industrial residues into renewable electricity.

This produces 25.5 MW of clean energy and leads to annual emissions reductions of 48,430 tCO2e. The project activity also contributes to alleviate poverty through job opportunities.
